Confessin' the Blues is a modern blues collection that's balanced between covers of classic tunes and new songs. Like many contemporary blues collections, the disc vacillates between the very good and the mediocre, but there are enough strong cuts to make it worth a listen, at least for hardcore fans of modern blues.
