Biohazard's Urban Discipline introduced the band's one-of-a-kind, Brooklyn thrash-rap sound to hardcore fans outside the five boroughs. It's an authentic mix of inner-city vocal rhythms with metal's take-no-prisoners attitude, one that granted them international credibility. Urban Discipline is an original hardcore metal-rap album, debuting a half-decade prior to the rap-rock explosion of the late '90s

Aaaaaargh.…Whoops, excuse us. Unfortunately, bands like this bring up bad memories in the mind… American Metalcore pioneers Biohazard were the only to feature Hip Hop influences in their verse structure, but that’s all. What about the music? Well, take a Drop D/C Obituary groove riff, stretch it into oblivion for the whole album, add up pseudo-anthemic football shouts and casually shredding guitar solos and repeat the whole thing for 10 or more albums: that’s the band in a nutshell. There is little else to say. Many would point out the band’s “righteous and life-saving lyrics” which deal about general injustice, universal depression and despondency against the whole situation: just consider that these “fans” contributed to Evan Seinfeld’s acting career (especially “hard” acting career) and Billy Graziadei’s martial arts and consider the situations of these “heroes”. It’s always easy to play the part of the demagogues that speak for the people getting paid by them. As for Urban Discipline, everyone can quietly ignore it and the band as well, being just an exact replica of every single thing the band recorded.
