Greatest Hits, Vol. 3 is a greatest hits compilation by country singer Johnny Cash, released on Columbia Records in 1978 (see 1978 in music). It is the third and last part of the Johnny Cash Greatest Hits compilation series; the previous parts, Greatest Hits, Vol. 1 and Greatest Hits, Vol. 2, had been released in 1967 and 1971, respectively. The release is notable in that it contains two songs - "It's All Over" and "Old Time Feeling," - which hadn't appeared on any Johnny Cash album before.
If it had picked up where the first collection left off, Vol. 3 would have covered three studio albums, which produced 11 hits. That alone would have made a respectable hits collection, and it would have made sense, since The Bridge marked the beginning of a new phase of Joel's career. Instead, the 17-song Vol. 3 begins with a pair of songs from An Innocent Man ("Keeping the Faith," "An Innocent Man") that sound entirely different from the material that follows, which finds Joel delving into mechanized, slickly produced adult contemporary pop.

Greatest Hits Vol. III is the first studio album by Umphrey's McGee, recorded in 1998 and released by the independent label Street Gold Records just eight months after the band's formation. The album was recorded somewhat haphazardly in an effort to help the band secure local gigs. While the liner notes state that the album was recorded at "Dirty White Couch Studios", it was actually taped in the back of a Napa Auto Parts store warehouse in South Bend, Indiana
