This is a marvelous CD - Anne Buckley has an angelic voice which ranks with the best soprano voices I've heard. One could characterize her as an Irish Sarah Brightman - in fact, some of Anne's songs on her debut CD have been sung by Sarah Brightman. The selection of songs on "Celtic Godess" is a delightful mix of classical, Irish folk, and contemporary songs - ranging from "Hijo De La Luna" to "You'll Never Walk Alone" to "Danny Boy"

Rock Goddess is the debut studio album by the English all-female heavy metal band Rock Goddess. It was originally released in February 1983, on the label A&M. It was produced by experienced sound engineer Vic Maile. On release, the album was received favourably by the majority of music critics. Rock Goddess' most commercially successful album, it went on to peak at No. 65 on the UK Albums Chart, following the rising of the new wave of British heavy metal phenomenon.

Thus the Celtic goddess, often portrayed as a beautiful and mature woman, was associated with nature and the spiritual essence of nature, while also representing the contrasting (yet cyclic) aspects of prosperity, wisdom, death, and regeneration. The role of Ana is very much pronounced in Irish mythology, where she is often referred to as Anu, Danu or Dana, and is considered as the divine mother of the Tuatha Dé Danann (‘people of Dana’) – the supernatural race (or tribe) of Celtic gods that possibly formed one of the major pantheons of pre-Christian Gaelic Ireland. The goddess Don in Welsh mythology was also often associated with her matronly Irish counterpart. As for the historical side of affairs, Ana (or her related deities), in spite of her relative inconspicuousness in folkloric references, was counted among the major Celtic gods not only in Ireland but also in Britain and Gaul.
