Vibe Up! Исполнитель. The Orchard Music (от лица компании "Criss Cross Jazz").

His distinctive sound on the slide trombone gave Steve Davis the opportunity to start his carreer, in the mid 80s, with legendary Art Blakey until 1990. He has worked also with Chick Corea, Avishai Cohen and lead his own group and his own productions.

Tool of Ignorance with Ratchet.

Steve Davis connects with his audience on a number of levels, his honest approach to his art refreshing and certainly enjoyable. Steve Davis scores a direct hit with this album. The kickoff composition, a predictably funky, "For Real" is a bit deceptive, in that it stands yards apart from the more compositionally sophisticated post-bop tunes that follow, beginning with "Nicky D", featuring Dave's swinging trombone, then to the hypercool, "Angie's Groove", featuring Abraham Burton's tenor, where the time signature gets a bit more complex. Then up-up tempo with "Tactics", back to a samba-ish, "I found You", finishing up with Latin flavored "Daylight". I downloaded the MP3 version of this album, beginning with "Nicky D", then couldn't stop until I had the whole thing.
