Edward Bear was a Toronto-based Canadian pop-rock group. The band is best known for its chart-topping single, "Last Song," and "Close Your Eyes," used as the signing-off song for Delilah's radio show. The Edward Bear Revue, later Edward Bear, was formed in 1966 by singer and percussionist Larry Evoy and bassist Craig Hemming. The name is derived from . Milne's Winnie the Pooh, whose "proper" name is Edward Bear. At first the band had a bluesy, rock sound; at one point they opened for Led Zeppelin.

While it's hard to get nostalgic about the music of the early 70s in the same way people tend to get about the 60s, this 15-track collection of hits, misses, and previously unreleased stuff from Canada's Bear certainly evokes that 1970-1974 period. Songs like "You, Me and Mexico," and the trilogy of "Masquerade," "Last Song," and "Close Your Eyes" (it's neat to have them back to back on this release) will either evoke fond smiles or pained shudders.
